| I'm seeing more of this in the domestic community. They're starting to see the light! Inspired by my Z, a close friend of mine is in the middle of a crazy build on a mustang. Don't laugh, this is a project he's been working on for a long time and is now approaching the "moc-up" stage for his forced air. By my guestimation it will be a 7.38liter engine. He's decided on a manual T-56 trans. and will be installing Twin turbos. He has all the supporting mods and lowered compression to 9:1. His build will hold 2500hP, totaly undrivable and he will be eventually disappointed. I have suggested smaller turbos as he wants this beast to be a "street car". Given the amount of exhaust flow I don't think spool-up will be an issue, regardless of size. I like the linear power curve of my 530's, They're more predictable and give me the ability to "throttle steer". He's dead set (to make a pun) on this build, but did seem open to some advice from my turbo comunity. FWIW he's at least considering custom SMICs, as he wants to keep his A/C. anyone care to weigh in on what size Turbos he should go with. Not looking for anything exact, just a general direction.
